      river view
      helpful staff
      private hot bath
      busy street
      long wait

This hotel in Kyoto impressed me with its excellent location near the river and Gion. The view from my room was stunning, making mornings really special. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. I appreciated the separate toilet from the shower and sink, adding convenience. The room size felt generous for Japan standards, and I enjoyed the private hot bath option available. The hotel’s proximity to transport made it easy to explore. On the downside, the noise from the busy street outside was bothersome at times. I also found the laundry facilities lacking, with long wait times due to only two machines available. Wi-Fi struggled during peak times too, making it hard to connect sometimes. Despite these issues, I’m still glad I chose this hotel for my stay.

      would definitely return here

The room was spacious and comfy, with a stunning view of the Kamogawa River, making mornings great. Loved the separate toilet and shower setup. The hotel has a lovely public bath, and the neighborhood is cozy, full of small restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed the modern design and friendly staff.

Absolutely loved the spacious room with stunning river views. The onsen was a restful escape after our Kyoto adventures! Just wish there were more laundry machines available. 🧺

      uncomfortable pillows

Had an amazing time with friends! We visited two awesome places, Nishiki Market and took a relaxing walk by the Kamo River. I loved the helpful staff and our comfy rooms. The location is perfect for exploring and there are lots of great dining options nearby. Highly recommended!

I did find the pillows a bit uncomfortable. One was too soft, and the other too hard for my taste.

      value for money
      onsen experience

It was just a suitable option for shopping in Kyoto with excellent value for money. The onsen experience was nice, but some people didn't shower before using it, which felt a bit off. Make sure to ask for English help if needed.

      spacious room
      confusing instructions

      A delightful stay in Kyoto

After a warm welcome, we enjoyed a spacious room with easy access to famous temples. Each day began with a delightful breakfast that made us smile.

The only downside was the shared bath instructions, which felt a bit confusing for Western visitors unfamiliar with the customs.

      cozy room

So I had a standard twin room at first, but it felt kinda cramped, you know? I upgraded to a cozy view twin and man, the beds were separated just like I wanted. I had a nice view of a peaceful air shaft, much better vibes.

Not the cheapest option out there, but honestly, it worked for what I needed.

The hotel features stunning decor with lush greenery visible from my spacious room, truly creating a relaxing atmosphere. The lobby's elegance and the accessible design made it easy for me to navigate as a senior.

More assistance with luggage for seniors would be helpful.

      delicious breakfast
      peaceful garden view
      limited laundry facilities

Staying at this hotel with my family was fantastic! The breakfast was a highlight, with tons of delicious options. We enjoyed a premier twin room overlooking a beautiful private garden—such a peaceful view while sipping our morning coffee.

In my wife’s opinion, they should provide better laundry facilities for families since it took forever to get a machine. Waiting too long with kids isn’t ideal.
